Almoiz Industries Ltd is the only sugar manufacturers in Pakistan that produce sugar both from sugarcane and sugarbeet. We grow sugar beets over 20,000 acres divided among 4,000 farmers.
SUGAR BEET
TECHNICAL COLLABORATION WITH KWS
We take pride that KWS global leader in sugar beet seed business is our technical partner for development of sugar beet crop in Pakistan. KWS provides seeds and extends cooperation for complete sugar beet crop management. As partners we are closely working to improve crop yield and sugar recovery.
FARM MECHANIZATION
At Almoiz, we are continuously striving to improve our farms productivity by implementing modern and innovative farming techniques. In our existing fleet we have pneumatic planters, mechanical hoeing machines and sugar beet harvesters. All these steps towards mechanization has helped in reducing the cost and increasing efficiency.
SEED & PLANTATION
We at Almoiz carefully select sugar beet varieties giving best results in our environment. This seed is imported directly from KWS Germany and are distributed among the farmers on interest free basis.
When it comes to plantation, our dedicated field team guide the farmers on appropriate planting time, tillage, seed rate ideal sowing depth.
PLANT PROTECTION
Proper crop protection is important to produce higher quality crops with minimal wastage. Our fully trained staff and farmers keep close watch on pests and diseases and remedial measures are taken as soon as any traces observed.
PLANT NUTRITION
We promote balanced fertilization, therefore recommend only NPK fertilizer for the beet crop. Apart from macro nutrients farmers are also provided with micro nutrients like boron and zinc.
IRRIGATION
Sugar Beet is a very sensitive crop therefore irrigation plays a very important roles right from germination stage to throughout the life cycle. We are promoting sprinkler irrigation systems.
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Almoiz Industries makes a huge annual investment for sugar beet research and development activities with the objective of screening varieties which performs best in our environment.
HARVESTING & TRANSPORTATION
In order to facilitate our sugar beet farmers we have imported sugar beet harvesters for quick harvesting and subsequent transportation to the mills.
SPRAYING DRONES
We provide precision agriculture tools which is a cornerstone of modern farming. It’s a delicate balancing act that requires speed, care, and precision. We facilitate our farmers by providing spraying drones through these we apply right chemicals in the right quantity in the right locations and at the right time for boosting the productivity of farms.
